I have been missing of late and sorry about that . The Dr has discovered that my blood pressure is very high the cause is borderline kidney failure . She is doing all she can do .Changing meds weekly . doing test ect . I will keep you posted.

update on my puppies

Well the update on my puppies is good and bad . We did lose my Thunder a couple days after we lost Squeekie and thought we were going to lose Sookie but the good news is she RECOVERED and is doing great . She is eating like a little piggy. Has gained weight and is full of the devil. Maria is fine also . So we are blessed I guessed . I got some news from the DR this week . Blood pressure is out of control and my kidneys are bad borderline failure cause of blood pressure . So I am working on correcting that . I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving .

It has not been a good week here at the farm .

On sunday one of my puppies came down sick . Throwing up and dioreara. By monday morning it had turned bloody . So I took him to the vet and dicovered he had " canine parvovirus or PARVO". The vet gave me a very grim outlook on what was probably going to happen . But I decided on an IV of fliuds and a high protein gel . He is still with us and seems a bit better . But now they are all sick but 2. It is terribly stressfull right now . I am so heartbroken with all this this week . Please keep them in your thoghts and prayers .

Some sad news

On nov 10th I went out to let the goats out at 9am and discovered my beautiful LILY was very ill . By 1pm she was gone . She dided from what we think was an injury from a goat butting her in the beey which made one of her stomach ( they have 4) twist causing a blockage. She died in some much pain it was just awful . I am heart broken by this . She was my prettist goat and a true sweety .

Buster and I went out for a new walk along the brook yesterday . Hes now 16 years old and walking is hard for him . But he still likes to go on a fun adventure .

Please I would like to introduce "Laurel and Hardy". I found them at the dumpster where we put our trash . They are just so cute . They live out with the goats in the barn to keep the mice away . But really just go all over the yard and lately have been hanging around the house porch waiting for me or out playing with the puppies

I would like you to meet PICKETT ( Pickee). She had been hanging around the yard at night looking for food and one morning I saw her over near the fence . She was so very shy and afraid of everything . I would say she is about 8 or 9 months old . But has become a really nice dog . Full of the devil and just LOVES the puppies .

Butter update

Butter is still improving everyday . she has develop an infection in the bites on her face . so we had to clean them and open them up so they could drain. geesh she has a hole on her face that is 1 " long 3/4 " wide and at least 1/2" deep . Shes back on antibiotic's and is doing great . As some of you know I have had some computer problem with my 700.00 computer . We we found out today the hard drive crashed and now i need a new one . Please be careful we you are letting windows do any updating because if the update doesn't go in completely it will crash your hard drive . I lost everything I had on there . so as you can image I am very PO about this . well thanks for stopping bye .

Well I have good news . Butter is doing great . We found 3 bites on her so far but all seem to be Draining and healing well . She is outside again but she seems to be staying out of the woods and bushes . She might lose her sight in one of her eyes but still that we can live with . I am very thankful for all your thoughts and prayers for her.

On Tuesday Butter came limping down the driveway so I went over to see what the scoop was . She couldnt walk on her foot at all . Hubby had to carry her into the house . I noticed she had 2 bites just above her eyes about 1 inch across . So we put here on her bed and let her rest . When I came in a couple of hours later she was all swollen up . Her face was double in size . down her thoat and chest . Then it rang a bell in my head .she was probaly bite by a copperhead snake . By then it was to late for a vet visit . so i dug out my goat medicine books and found that we could mega dose her with Vit c it might save her . so we did. and so far she is doing good . the swelling is going down . the bites are draining . we now have her on 2 shots of pennicillin daily and will keep her on that till the swelling is gone . oh my god i thought we were going to lose her . it was dicey there for a while . she has a long road ahead of her but i think shes going to make it thur . keep her in your thoughts and prayer everyone . shes a very sweet dog .

Maria had 5 puppies last night . oh they are so cute . they all have the dads face 2 have her tail short and stubby and all the rest have long tails . all are black except one has a black and brown face and the other is black and white and all the others are all black . very cute indeed . we have been working the last 2 days to get ready for the big blow (hurricane ) i do believe we are all buttoned down . LOLO will keep you posted .

Hello everyone , yes I am still here . My truck is broke (needs a starter) so I am with out wheels at the moment . Emma is getting bigger every day and should have her baby kid shortly . Maria is also getting huge LOLO and is due at the end of the month. We have a new puppy she is some kind of a hound . Red in color with the coolest blue and brown eyes . Her name is Pickett or "Picky) We have been canning everything that is coming out of the garden . On everyone of hubby's break we can all day long . Who knew 2 people could eat so many tomatoes LOLOLO It is now officially Bucky season so all my big Bucky boys are just hooping and hallow'n and geesh they stink LOLOL I also found 2 of the prettiest little boy kittens at the dump Its so sad that people feel the need to just dump them off and leave them . I have wanted some barn cats to control the mice . they are just the sweetest . photos to come soon . We are doing OK at the moment . money if tighter now the state has stopped all overtime . So there goes our extra cash . but any who. .....

We have been busy working in the garden . We are now picking tomatoes daily and this week will be picking summer squash. We have watermelon's on the vine growing everyday and peppers on there way . I am very pleased within my garden this year. We are having some success finally . My silly goats are all doing well . Not liking the 100 degrees we have been having . When it does cool down they run around jumping and playing together . We have been working on getting there copper up . Our soil is very bad- pure clay. There are very few minerals in it . So we are trying to change that . Emma is getting ready to have her little one . Getting bigger everyday . All my little ones are growing up and doing well . we all for now . thanks for stopping bye

Sick goats and a request

My little boy goats have been having problems of late with loose poopies and bloat . We have ruled out the Hay, water, to much feed . What I think it is ,is a bad weed . They free range out in the woods where the girls stay in the field . Would anyone know if a website or book that would have bad weeds for goats that also has Photo's? any help would be great .

We decided that the garden need to be redone . That the way it was the last 2 years wasn't working . Our soil is pure clay and every summer we go into drought condition, the weeds and the bugs just ruled. So i have been reading about how the french have all there garden raised in boxes . So we have raised beds now 4 large ones and 4 smaller ones . The soil in them is getting better every year . they are easier to weed and pick off the bugs . We are going to try to do some winter gardening in the long skinny ones this winter . I am very pleased so far as how it is growing .

We have been working on redoing the veggie garden . Our sun and heat is so hot out here that we provide shade for the pepper plants

This is our orchard area . We have heirloom apple trees and blueberry bushes in here . I like the wildness of it . It has sunflowers, black eyed susan's, queen anne lace all growing in it . It is very pretty right now

This is the sunflower pasture . It is a pasture that we are working on for the goat durning the winter . IT has clover, sunflowers and alot of other good stuff for the soil. When the flowers are gone by we will re till it and plant orchard Grass

Update on Buddy

Buddy had to be put down this morning . He had 2 sides to him ,one very lovable and the other very mean . He had issues with food right from the start so we were careful with him but then Maria came into season . OH my God !!!! He was growling at anyone who got near her even if she was the one walking up to you . He bit Phoebe and Butter . Butter was so afraid she wouldn't go outside anymore . And then yesterday he came after me . So hubby put him down when he got home from work . I was so afraid that I walked around with a butcher knife all day till I could get Maria inside . The whole thing has made me so sad . But I also feel he is in a better place now and happy and playing his heart out .

This is BUDDY. He is our lasted family member . Came walking down the drive way last week and made himself at home . He is a 75 pound cuddle bug who is so loving . He was very skinny and covered with bugs and soars . So we have given him a bath and have been working on getting his belly full and put on some weight. The girls just love him . Buster not so much LOLOL. I like to have a male dog as they are good protection dogs and very loyal . Girls are good dogs but most of the time live in there own world LOLOLOL

I know its been a long while since my last post . Hubby had some time off so we try to work around the farm in between all the rain drops . Man ,we have had some rain . gessh ! But everyone is doing really good . Lily and Katie Blu are growing like weeds . All my little boys are doing great . Sienna is back with MOM all weaned . We put up a new hay barn which is alot bigger than we had . we have been working in the veggie garden . making raised beds and planting . So far I have tomatoes, peppers and some squash and black beans in . We have 2 momma chicken sitting on eggs and 2 momma ducks sitting on eggs . Its that time of the year . well enjoy the photo's .More to come .

I know its been awhile . Been busy with my babies which I must say are growing like weeds . Already 2 months old . Geesh !!! LOLOL We have been working on the garden , trying out some new stuff to combat the weeds and bugs . We are doing 8 " raised beds, annual clover to combat the weeds and a ton of mulch for the summer heat we have . We will also be using a cover over the seedlings to see if that stops the dam bugs and shade over most of the garden area when the July heat moves in . Will keep you posted on how it all goes . I haven't been able to post any photos as my photo files keep disappearing on me . Spring is on our doorstep . The trees are starting to bud out . The spring bulbs are popping up . It is getting warmer daily ( except for today BURR LOLOL). The other day we had to leave for the day and when we got home we found Bella had fallen off her house roof and got caught in one of the ropes that hold her hay canopy . I thought she broke her leg but found it was only sprained , badly and really swollen . She is doing better . The swelling has gone down she still isn't really putting alot of weight on it . But i think she will . My concern now is that she has no VOICE. She hasn't made a sound since this has happened . So i will keep you posted on this . All the babies are doing well . Na'vi is the one I have seen the most growth in . boy, he is a handsome boy . The twins are struck like glue to each other . Sleety is the most friendly and will jump up in my lap for a nap now LOLOL . Q-Pee and Sienna are doing well, just started to eat hay and are playing with the others . All is good at the farm . Emma is doing really well in fact to well LOLOLO. She has been in heat for a week now and we didn't want to mate her I wanted her body to heal and she great stronger. Well Togee had other ideas . He broke though the fence and mated with her . So we will have baby (s) in July . LOLOLO So i would say she is doing just fine now LOLOL . Gracie had her babies on Valentines day . What a nice valentine gift that was for me . She had a smooth birth and was so brave . The little ones are just beautiful. She had a little girl and I named her" Sienna Valentine " and her little boy who came out yelling at the top of his lungs LOLOL . He had alot to say about being born I guess LOLOL I named him "Cupid Goats beard" and I call him "Q-Pee". I want to thank my friend Dove for the great names . They are doing really well . Mom brought them out this morning to enjoy there day . Na'vi is just a little bomb shell LOLO He is running around at about 100 MPH and doesn't have any problem playing with Snowy and Sleety even though they are twice his size .

Tuesday was a big day for me . That morning Emma lost her little and that afternoon Poppy gave birth to her little on . And it wasn't an easy birth either . He came out head first but his little legs were fold down under him ., I had to go in and find a leg and pull it out so Poppy could continue birthing him . I was determine that this little guy was NOT going to die . he fought hard to stay alive so I wanted him to have a strong name . So I named him " NA'VI Warrior" When hubby got him I took him out to see the little man and he laughed and laughed cause he was so dam cute . Hes all black except for his ears and top of his nose and a little tuff on his forehead. I am so in love with this little guy . stayed tunes Gracie is next in 2 weeks .

On Tuesday morning hubby was going off to work . When he pass the girls house he hared one of they bahaing so he went in and took a peek to see what was going on. He discovered that one of them was giving birth and came and got me . It was Emma she was 7 days early and the little one was stuck. She was crying something awful . I tried to push her back in but she wouldn't move . I figured at that point the little one was gone . We didn't know how long Emma had been like that . so hubby held one to her and I pulled . The little girl was gone by then . She was so little that we both thought she probably wouldn't have lived anyways . Emma has been crying for 3 days now . Shes not eating and I am worried about her . Keep her in your thoughts .

My little guys are doing great . Daisy got them outside on the 2nd day and now they are out all day long . Running ,jumping and playing like little wild men . The other goats are wonder about then . Bella wants to play with them but daisy is very protective of them . but that time will come . I could sit and watch them all day long LOLOL . more babies to come Feb 12 and 13 . stay tuned .

Everyone has had a fun time playing in the wheelbarrow LOLOLO. Its become a morning treat while I am feeding everyone . Very funny . Bella gets into the barrow and lays down and pushes all the hay seeds out on the ground so she can eat them and if its cold she will lay in the bottom of the barrow and warm up . Funny stuff, my silly goats . In 2 weeks we will have the first birth of this year babies . Daisy is just about ready to bust LOLOL . Shes wattling around . She will probably have 2 babies . I am so excited about this . I just love my baby goats . Poppy, Emma and Gracie will all deliver next month. It will be so fun having the little ones all running around . We are doing OK. Hubby is loving his job and is doing well at it . This winter has been snowy for sure . The weatherman have been right on the nose when they say its going to snow . Gessh ! . Though I do like the snow . It make the farm so pretty.

We got some snow for Christmas. I hope you will enjoy the photos of it . It made everything simmer. Really pretty. All the kids enjoyed the snow too . Most of them had never seen snow so it was fun to watch them come out of there houses and walk for the first time in it. LOLO Everyone is doing really good . We moved Togee and Indee-Moon to there own house and they just love it . Lots more roaming space and its beside the girls and Togee is in love with everyone of them LOL Hubby is finally off nights and back on day shift . The night thing was killing me. He would go in for 5:45pm and get home at 3 am . Then I would be up for the rest of the night . Glad its over . I want to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and the best for the new year . Its been a long month for me

Its been a long month for me .Hubby has been gone to school so I had to hold down the fort so to speak and it wasn't easy this time . But this is his last week and then he will be back home for good on Friday . Everyone is doing great . Bella , Indee and Togee are all growing leaps and bounds and have put on some weight . All 3 of them are now free ranging with the girls and seem to enjoy being out . Bella has bonded with me like no other goat I have has ever done . She loves to just roam and explore the yard but he favorite thing is following my cat "Annabella " around smelling her tail. What makes this so funny is that Annabelle is not very brave so the faster she walks the faster Bella walks LOLOLOL. Its so very cute . Indee is a talker . He will talk to you the whole time you are in or near his pen . Boo-Boo does this too . Autumn is fast coming . Our trees are changing colors and looking very beautiful . Winter will be here shorty. Well so far my 3 little ones are doing great . Indie-moon is always hungry LOLLO Bella is coming around and being more friendly and Togee is just a wild little man . We hope to move them to there new goat friends on the weekend.We had to cut there toe nails on Sunday and man what a stinky job that was . 3 bucks all peeing on themselves . It was just YUCKIE LOLOLOLOL But the job is done and good to go till next month. We had baby Chickie this spring . Our birdies had 6 and we brought 6 an it looks like they are all ROOSTERS LOLOLOL . It is a cock-a-doodle -do wild world out in the yard right now . 4 of them are doodling and a new one started this am . Geesh we need to sell some soon before I go crazy LOLOL. This is one of our new little guys . I took a bunch of photos this morning but now they are gone .LOLOL We brought 2 new guys and 1 new girl goat this sat . This one is named Indi-moon then we have Togee and Bella . I will post those photo's on Monday. We wanted 2 more males so we could fix them and be our bucky boys pals . But Togee is so beautiful we are going to wait till next year to decide. I brought Bella for Emma. She needed a friend . She is very small and gets picked on and we had to move her so she could eat every days . The bigger girls were just pushing her out of the way and so she is very fearful now . She is now housed with Gracie who still pushes her around but I give her her own box of hay everyday . Bella and her will be great friends cause they are just the same in temperament. Bella shakes all over when I talk to her LOLOL Emma came right over and they have been getting to know each other when the girls free range . I do believe my 3 girls are in the motherly way . I hope so Bucky boys just plain stink LOLOLOL We mated Daisy with Rocky, Poppy with Boo-Boo and Emma with Blue . Then yesterday I went to go in the Bucky boys pen and they bulldoze right Thur me and Rocky went wild . He chased Daisy all over the yard and she was running for her life LOLOL He hooked up with Poppy and tried to get Emma before I cornered him in the girls house and locked him in LOLO But I am hoping they were all ready impregnated before the rocky rampage. Catching up .....

I thought I would catch you up today . Hubby finally got a new job and just in time seeing his unemployment benefit's were ending. And he likes it alot, alittle something different for him . We had to file for bankrupted and lost our house in Chesapeake. But it was a good thing the stress was just terrible and now life seems bearable again . Our garden was a bust . What didn't burn up from our 100 degree heat all summer,drowned from the pass 3weeks of rain daily . LOLOL Boy I can grow great weeds some are 2 foot tall . LOLOLOL We did get to do some canning of tomatoes and peppers. We will have sweet potatoes and beans still and maybe some watermelons . But who's knows LOLOLL. All the animals are doing well . We are having a problem with my goat "Gracie" .She is 7 months old and still drinking mommas milk which at this age is very bad for her and making her very fat. We are still trying to break her of this but momma isn't helping at all . So she is in another pen . The problem is the pen is small so when I open up another area to it she jumps the fence as graceful as a ballerina and runs to momma and grabs on to that nippy and has a great big drink . So we are in the process of working on this problem. Our baby ducks are growing like weeds and doing great . Well all for now . Thanks for stopping bye

I am back

I am back with a new blog. She has a nice new look and I hope you will enjoy stopping by and reading about my crazy life .

We have 6 baby ducks that are about 4 weeks old now

This is "SA-Prize" she is one of our new baby Chicky girls. She was a total surprise . I walked into the coop one day and found her running all over the place LOLOLOL

This is "Princecess". She has been one of our prettiest Chicky girl yet .

This is my" BOO BOO". Hes my baby. For those who don't know the story . We brought him, his sister Gracie and mom Daisy in Jan . They were really skinny and staved. All were very sick and we didn't think BOO BOO would live. I had to hand feed him with a bottle till his mom got her milk to come in . And he didn't like the bottle milk and refused to eat it after he got full . Luckily Daisy's milk came in a few days after we got them . But they spent 2 months in the medical pen before they could join the others. he is now one of my prized "Bucky Boys" well all for now . Thanks for stopping Bye,Robin
